Whether supine or extreme, the Skyfall concierge can produce a plethora of non-ski activities for you to choose from.
If no holiday is complete for you without doning a climbing belt and carbine, then Skyfall is only a five minute drive from the picturesque, steel cable safeguarded 850m long Rendl climbing route from which you can ski over the Rossfall and then on through the Moss Valley and back to St. Anton.
Indoor or outdoor, boulder lead, fixed rope or dry tooling climbing lessons over 100 different routes (including an ice wall) can also be booked, either at the St. Anton or Lech sports halls (lower age limit of 7). Alternatively, ice fall climbing expeditions to the many frozen waterfalls of the region can be organised for the more experienced.
St. Anton also operates federally licensed, chartered paragliding flights, as well as para-powder expeditions, which gives you the opportunity to beat the helicopter to the virgin snow.
Skyfall is spoilt for choice when it comes to tobogganing. Either take a five minute drive towards St. Anton to arrive at the Gampen to Nasserein run which takes 15 minutes to complete and has a vertical elevation of 1670 feet, or go to Lech where the Oberlech run remains open until 10pm.
Cross Country Skiing
The Arlberg is also considered a destination region for cross-country skiing. Skyfall is particularly lucky to have the 2.5km St. Christoph cross-country and skating trail a couple of steps from its front door. Alternatively, the 10km Verwall track, with its slight ascents and easy descents across the picturesque Verwalltal Stanzertal is ideal for some more strenuous training.
If snow show walking appeals more, the region has 70km of marked hiking trails to choose from.
Lech possesses the only indoor hotel based ice rink in Europe at over 300 square meters, alternatively check out the natural ice skating rink behind the Hotel Arlberghaus in Zurs.
On your doorstep, Skyfall guests have complimentary access to the 150 square meter Alberg Hospiz Hotel gym and swimming pool where your concierge can provide you with a customized work out schedule.
Indoor tennis courts, graced by Federer, are available short drives away in either St. Anton or Lech, as are bowling arcades, badminton courts, basketball courts and 5-a-side football pitches.
If, on the other hand, your tastes are more sedentary...
Horse Drawn Carriage Rides
These can be arranged either in the Verwall Valley, culminating in a dinner at the Verwall Inn, or the Zug Valley where the ride finishes at the Aperle. Both these spots have long been frequented by those who prize seclusion and romance.
The 220 sq. metre Arlberg Hospiz Hotel spa, with its 5 treatment rooms that offer 13 different types of facials and 10 different body treatments utilizing Ericson Laboratoire organic products. There are even special treatments for teenagers.
