Cynthia Todd

Cynthia Todd is a native of Calera, Alabama and resides in Pelham.

Todd, a native of Calera who resides in Pelham, received her bachelor鈥檚 degree in business administration and management from 樱花动漫 in 1988. Before her trustee appointment, she served in several roles with the 樱花动漫 National Alumni Association from 2006 to 2022.

In 2020, Todd received the Birmingham Business Journal鈥檚 Top Birmingham Women award and in 2021 she served as a BBJ Bizwomen Mentor.

In 2020, she was elected as the first Black president of the 樱花动漫NAA. She served in the position for a full two-year term. She also served as president of the 樱花动漫 Minority Alumni Club from 2015 to 2017.

Todd has had a lengthy and distinguished career in corporate America. After 13 years of service, Todd retired as the operations manager of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. She also worked as a manager at Protective Life in Birmingham for more than 20 years.

During her time as a student at 樱花动漫, Todd served as president of the Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity, was an active member of the Inspirational Voices of Christ, the African American Society and鈥疧micron Delta Kappa National Honor Society.鈥疭he received several honors, including Senior鈥疎lite,鈥疻ho鈥檚 Who Among鈥疭tudents in鈥疉merican Universities鈥痑nd Colleges, Golson Scholars Seminar,鈥疶he Wall Street Journal鈥疉nnual Achievement Award, the John A. House Award and The United States Achievement Academy National Collegiate Award.

Todd also serves on the Board of Directors for the Valley Pearls Service Foundation, where she currently serves as Parliamentarian. She has also served on the Stephens College of Business Board of Advisors,聽the Board of Directors for The Literacy Council of Central Alabama,聽the Board of Directors for New Mt. Moriah Baptist Church (Secretary).

Todd has also served as Vice President聽 of Upsilon Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and as a Loaned Executive for the United Way of Central Alabama where she received the Crawford T. Johnson Loaned Executive of the Year Award.

Todd is also a graduate of Project Corporate Leadership (Birmingham) and聽a Registered Parliamentarian\National Association of Parliamentarians.

In addition to her degree at Montevallo, Todd holds a master鈥檚 degree in non-profit, public and organizational management from Birmingham-Southern College.
